The Start of the Holidays

I am saying 'hello' from the very beginning of my long-awaited June holidays. Now that the holidays are here, I feel way more relaxed, inside-out. It's been a crazy semester to say the least, but I'm definitely at a happier, more stable and comfortable place now, than I was, just months ago.

This semester, I proved to myself, amongst other things, that when I set my mind to something, I can, and will, do it. I told myself at the start of the year that I want to be much happier and adapt better to my work environment, and I'm proud to say, that I've done just that. *pat on the back!*

I've been given so many opportunities that I'm truly thankful for and will continue to embrace everything that this job has to offer and perform my best, if not for my personal satisfaction, then for the success of my students. I've been blessed with some truly wonderful classes - my follow-up class, 2D, my yummilicious form class, 2G, my other class that I see a little too much of, 2H and my precious precious 4G. My CCA kids are also one-of-a-kind and a truly fun bunch to work with.

All in all, the semester, with its ups and (many) downs, still somehow worked out well and I'm excited to see what is in store for me next semester.

In the meantime, I am going to wind down a little, get a haircut, update the wardrobe, go on a week-long trip, spend some precious time with my family and friends, perhaps get back in the Brazilian groove of things AND get some work done for the next semester.

Cheers!
