More than 24 hours / Light A Million Candles

It's been a while since I was last here and I apologize. Have been so darn caught up with work and trying squeeze in time with friends and family and then, trying to find some ME time in-between, it's been hard, to say the least.

There are days I wish there were more than 24 hours to a day, but I guess He had his reasons for choosing this number of hours, so yeah, it's an occupational and recreational constraint that we learn to live with or within =), whichever way you choose to look at it.

I came across the following video in a random blog I came across just a few minutes back, and felt that I should share it and spread the word around. So watch the video ya.. (and post it on your blogs or email or whatever and spread the message please.)

Child pornography/abuse/victimization of any sort, is a tragedy that seems to be multiplying million-fold in our society. It's like a sickening disease that just refuses to be cured. Perhaps if the perpetrators take a moment to THINK of WHO they're inflicting harm on, they might stop in time. Sadly, this is wishful thinking on our parts cuz if they actually THINK, that would save so many children from their sad, abusive childhoods. I don't want my brother, cousins, nieces and nephews, neighbours' kids, friends' kids, friends' nephews and nieces and my god-kids to EVER have to face this tragedy. And I wish they'll NEVER meet children who do. Because my wish is simple, though difficult to achieve - A wish that NO CHILD ever goes through this.

Light a candle to protect your brother or sister, your cousins, your nephews and nieces, your neighbours's children, your god-children, or just any random child in the world who deserves our protection just the same. I did. I lit my candle for the children I can see, and the children whom I can't and especially for the children of our tomorrows. Let's Light a candle to show we're standing up, not just as individuals, but as a global unit, to state our views against these heartless mofos, who do what they do for whatever sick reasons they may have.

May God bless these children with angels to protect them and guide them away from harm's path. May the children of our world be able to run free without having to fear the effects of pornography or abuse. ever.
